Community Recycling Unit to be installed at Coweta Walmart

Coweta Walmart has partnered with the City of Coweta to install a community recycling unit in the store’s parking lot.
Walmart Manager Dalton Graham said all community members can bring their recycling to the unit, provided it aligns to one of the eight (8) waste streams:

• Home Cleaning/Beauty Bottles
• Rigid Plastic Food Packaging
• Plastic Bags/Films
• Paper Boxes

“Materials will be taken to a central location in Sherman, Tex. where they are recycled or used to close the loop (make new products/packaging),” Graham explained. “This is the exciting part – all water bottles we collect in the unit will go straight to our processor to make Great Value branded water bottles. All Thermoforms (clamshells) collected will go to our processor to create Marketside packaging.”
